Change period status

The period tables controls the status of the accounting period. You can change the status of a period if required.

You can:

• Close an Open period.
• Open a Future period.

• Change an Open period to a Future period.

  You can only do this if the open period has no transactions posted to it and it is immediately before a future period.

Before you begin

• You must have the correct user permissions to change a period status.
