You can add and edit BOM document links.
Documents are not attached to the BOM, but are referenced from it. Therefore, you will not be able to open a file if it is missing from the system, even although it is referenced from the BOM.
In the BOM Components tab, or BOM Operations tab, select a new line, click 
in the Add button and select Add Link to Document.
The BOM Attachments window appears.
The default folder location is My Documents.
Browse to the document that you want to link to the BOM and click Open.
The document details are displayed in the Document Line window.
To open the document, click Open Document.
If the file is missing from the system, the message, Unable to open referenced document appears.
In the BOM Components tab, or BOM Operations tab, select an existing document line and click Edit.
The document details are displayed in the Document Line window.
To open the document, click Open Document.
If the file is missing from the system, the message, Unable to open referenced document appears.
To select a different document, click Select Document.
The default folder location is that of the existing document.
