Work area

Workspaces provide an overview of the primary information stored for each module. Use workspaces to find and analyse important information, open related windows (Actions), export information to Excel, and run reports.

Each module has default workspace, which opens when the module is selected from the navigation bar. You can change the default workspace for each module from Tools > Options | Home Page.

Process maps show the workflow associated with a particular module. For example, the Purchase Ledger process map shows the flow of tasks from entering a new supplier account, producing invoices and credit notes, to making payments.

• Select Process Maps from the Dashboards drop-down list in the top right of the work area.
• Each of the icons represents a window (Action) in Sage 200. To access the window, click on the icon.

This presents shortcuts to commonly used tasks, and help resources for each module.

• Select Welcome Page from the Dashboards drop-down list in the top right of the work area.
• Use the Activities links to open windows or reports.
• Use the Information links to open the Sage website.

You can choose to display a workspace as your Home Page. Your Home Page is displayed in the Work area when you select Home Page from the toolbar.

Set up the home page

Open: Tools > Options | Home Page.

1. To display a workspace on your home page, select the workspace from the drop down list.

2. If you want your home page to be displayed all the time instead of the other work area views, select Always show Home Page.

   You will not be able to display other views in the work area until you disable this setting.

3. To reset the display to show Sage 200 v2011 and previous list and dashboard views, select Show Legacy List and Dashboard View.
4. Click Save.
