Set up the Price Book

The prices and discounts specified in the Price Book apply to all types of stock items. They do not apply to sales order items or free text items.

Use the price book to:

• Set up and manage stock item selling prices. You can use fixed prices or markup.

You can import selling prices from outside Sage 200.

• Set up and manage customer discounts and surcharges. These can be for a single stock item, a product group, or based on order value.

Surcharges are created in the same way as discounts but are added to the price rather than subtracted from it.

Before you begin

You must have:

• Set your Sage 200 defaults, using the Accounting System Manager module.
• Created nominal accounts and set default nominal accounts in the Nominal Ledger.
• Set up your Sales Ledger and created your customer accounts.
• Set up the Stock Control module and entered stock items.
