This option allows you to check whether a works order is ready to be made; i.e. if all necessary materials have been received into stock.
Open: Works Orders > Processing > Ready to Process?.
The Ready To Process window lists those items that are excluded.
Select an item, clear the check box and click Suggest Qtys.
The Suggest Qtys window appears.
To request suggested quantities sufficient to make a certain amount of finished items, select the To make option and enter the number of finished items.
The number of finished items must be valid for the stocked unit of the item. If not, it is automatically adjusted to the nearest appropriate value.
Enter a positive quantity to allocate or a negative quantity to unallocate.
The quantity you enter must be valid for the stocked item. If not, it is automatically adjusted to the nearest appropriate value.
You cannot unallocate more than the quantity currently allocated.
Click Add Component.
The Add Component window appears.
The quantity must be valid for the stocked unit of the item. If not, it is automatically adjusted to the nearest appropriate value.
If you are allocating components, the component is added to the stock allocations list for the works order.
If you are issuing components, the component is added to the stock issues list for the works order.
