Allocation

You can reserve stock to build finished items in Sage 200.

You can only do this for active BOMs that are not on hold.

When creating allocations, remember:

• A BOM record cannot deal with stock adjustments. If too many or too few stock items are made from a set of components, you must manually add or delete the finished items to update your records. This is important in industries such as food production, where you may make more (or less) than the estimated amount.

You can use the Record Built Items option to allocate stock and build finished items immediately.
