Import Bill of Materials

You cannot import data from Sage 50 Manufacturing.

Before you beginOpen this section

You must have:

To import Bill of Materials

Open: Bill of Materials > Utilities > Import/Export > Import Bill of Materials.

  1. Select your import options.Open this section

    Validate Only

    Select this if you want to check the information in the import file but not import it yet.

    Validate and Import

    Select this if you want to check the information in the import file and import it immediately.
    Treat warnings as errors

    Select this if you want to treat warning messages as errors.

    If an error is found in a record, the record will not be imported. If you select to treat warning messages as error messages, then if a warning will also prevent a record from being imported.

    Make stock item active after import

    Select this if you want to make the stock item active after import.

    If you select this check box but the item has no locations set up it cannot be made active. Therefore a warning will be produced for the record.
  2. Click Import. The Open window appears.
  3. Browse to the file and click Open.

    4. The import process uses the criteria you entered under Import Options.

    When the import process finishes, an Import Complete window identifies:
