The View Labour Resource option allows you to see the entries for the labour resource records but not amend them.
Important! If you are using the full Manufacturing product, some information that you enter for the labour resource must be the same as the information you entered for the Cost Headings.
In order to be compatible for use with all Manufacturing modules, you must make sure:
If you select Perform Compatibility Checks on the Environment tab in System Settings and you choose differently, you will receive a warning prompt when you save a labour resource.
Open: Manufacturing System Manager > Labour Register > Records > New Labour Resource.
Open: Manufacturing System Manager >Labour Register > Records > Amend Labour Resource.
Group |
Select the labour resource group. The Group must already have been set up. |
Nominal Code |
The nominal code the resource is charged to. This defaults to the code for the group. Select another code if required. Important! If you are using the full Manufacturing product, this code must be the same as that on the cost heading. |
Overhead Nominal Code |
The nominal code the overheads of using the resource are charged to. This defaults to the code for the group. Select another code if required. Important! If you are using the full Manufacturing product, this code must be the same as that on the cost heading. |
Cost Heading |
Select the cost heading for the resource. You cannot select a cost heading that has type Materials. |
Allow Cost Rate Override |
Select Allow Cost Rate Override if you want to override the labour resource cost rate in the BOM operation record or in the Operations Register. |
Piece Work | Select this check box if cost is based on number of items completed, rather than an hourly rate. |
Cost Rate |
Enter the cost rate that is used by default when adding the labour resource to BOMA stock assembly and process costing system, which provides facilities to specify the structure of finished items in terms of sub-assemblies and components.s or estimatesForecast project costs, based on expected costs of labour, machinery and operation times. In Manufacturing, estimates are produced for one-off items or non-repetitive batches. operationsThe labour, machine and tool processes required to manufacture an item.. If you select Piece Work, the cost rate is per quantity. Otherwise it is per hour. The Hourly Cost Rate is calculated automatically. The Hourly Cost Rate is inserted into the Cost Rate box. You can add time units, using the Time Units tab. |
Piece Work Quantity |
If you select Piece Work, enter the number of items in the Piece Work Quantity box. |
Overhead Recovery % |
The default value shown when you add the labour resource group is set in Cost Headings. You can amend it as required. Important! If you are using the full Manufacturing product, this value must be the same as that on the cost heading. |
Efficiency % |
Enter a percentage value to over or under inflate the efficiency of the labour resource for costing purposes. The default value is from the labour resource group. You can amend it here. |
Use the Attachments tab to add/amend files, or links to files and folders.
To add a file to the account or record:
Select the file(s) that you want to add.
A copy of the file will be displayed in the list, and will be marked with a status of New. The file will only be added to the account/record when you save it.
If you are using Sage 200 Online, the file will be tested by antivirus software before it is attached.
Provided the original file extension is not greater than 150 characters, you will see the file in the file list with one of the following three extensions:

The file has been placed in quarantine and is waiting to be tested by antivirus software. |

The file has been tested by antivirus software and found to be potentially unsafe. Therefore the file has been deleted from the cloud and a dummy file with the .blocked extension is listed so you can see that there is a problem with the file. |
Tip: You can also use drag-and-drop to add files to the attachments list.
To add a link to a file:
Select the file(s) that you want to add a link to.
A link to the file will be displayed in the list, and will be marked with a status of New. The link will only be added to the account/record when you save it.
Tip: You can also use drag-and-drop to add links to the attachments list; hold down the Alt key to create a link (instead of adding the file).
To add a link to a folder:
Select the folder(s) that you want to add a link to.
A link to the folder will be displayed in the list, and will be marked with a status of New. The link will only be added to the account/record when you save it.
Tip: You can also use drag-and-drop to add folder links to the attachments list.
To view the file, link or folder from the account record:
To save a copy of the file, click Save As.
To modify an attached file; save the file and edit it, and then add it as a file again (you will be asked to overwrite the old file). To modify a linked file, you just need to edit and save the file in its original location.
If you delete a file, the file will be removed from the server. If you delete a link or a folder, only the link will be removed and the file/folder that is linked to will remain intact.
To delete a file, link or folder:
The item will be marked with a status of Deleted.
Tip: If you do not want to delete an item, select it and click Undelete.
You will be asked to confirm that you want to delete the item when you save the account/record.
You can enter a description for an item in the attachments list:
Enter the description for the item and click OK.
The description will be displayed in the Description column.
Time units for the resource default to the units set for the resource group.
The default time unit, Hour, is shown.
Time units must have been set up in the Time Units settings.
The time unit, Hour, cannot be deleted.
If you are using all Manufacturing modules, have selected Perform Compatibility Checks in System Settings Environment tab and have compatibility issues, the Compatibility Warnings prompt appears.
