The View Tool Resource option allows you to see the entries for the tool resource records but not amend them.
Tool resource information is held on five tabs: Details, Notes, Activities, Attachments and Time Units.
You do not usually need to add activities when you add tool resources. Activities - calibration, service or repair - are added when the tool has been in use. However, if you are adding tool resources retrospectively, you can add and delete activities following the same procedure as when you amend tool resources.
Important! If you are using the full Manufacturing product, some information that you enter for the machine resource must be the same as the information you entered for the Cost Headings.
In order to be compatible for use with all Manufacturing modules, you must make sure:
If you select Perform Compatibility Checks on the Environment tab in System Settings and you choose differently, you will receive a warning prompt when you save a tool resource.
