Connect to database

Open: System Administration.

On Premise deployment

  1. If your SQL server is password protected or has stopped, a prompt appears, asking if you want to configure the System Administration database.

  2. Enter the Database Settings.
    1. Enter the SQL Server name, or click to select it from a list.
    2. Enter the Database Name, or click to select it from a list.
  3. Click Create to create the administration databaseThe administration database contains your configuration information and settings for System Administration. .
  4. If Sage 200 detects any background taskThese are long running processes, for example, creating and updating databases., you will see the following message:

    Check whether another Sage 200 user is creating, updating or deleting companies at the time. If so, wait until they have finished before trying again. If not, you can clean up the background tasks. To do this, select Sage 200 SA and then select Clean up background tasks.

  5. You must enter the SQL credentials to create an administration database. Enter the User Name and Password for an SQL user that has rights to create a database, or choose Use Integrated. Windows Authentication.
  6. Click Test or Update to test or update the company.
  7. Click OK to confirm the changes.
  8. The Logon window appears, and you can log on to Sage 200 System Administration.

Sage 200 Online

  1. Click Create to create the administration database.
  2. If Sage 200 detects any background taskThese are long running processes, for example, creating and updating databases., you will see the following message:

    Check whether another Sage 200 user is creating, updating or deleting companies at the time. If so, wait until they have finished before trying again. If not, you can clean up the background tasks. To do this, select Sage 200 SA and then select Clean up background tasks.

  3. Click Test or Update to test or update the company.
  4. Click OK to confirm the changes.
  5. The Logon window appears, and you can log on to Sage 200 System Administration.
