System Administration

• Existing accounts

Shows the number of existing user accounts on Sage 200.

• Logged on accounts

Shows the number of users logged onto Sage 200.

You can also see who is logged onto Sage 200 by clicking Active Users in the navigation bar.

• User management

This takes you to the Users area so you can view and manage user accounts.

You can also open the Users area by clicking Users in the navigation bar.

• Update users

This opens the Manage User Lists screen, so that you can update the Sage 200 System Administration user list with the list of users created in Windows for On Premise deployments and in Sage ERP Online Services for Sage 200 Online.

You can also open Manage User Lists by selecting Update users from the Action menu.

• Role management

This takes you to the Roles area so you can add, view and manage roles.

You can also open the Roles area by clicking Roles in the navigation bar.

Server and version number is displayed along with any background tasks that are active.

On premise

If you are using an On Premise deployment, you can disable and enable user access to Sage 200 here:

• Select Disable User Logins to prevent users having access to Sage 200. For example, to work in restricted mode and prevent users logging on to Sage 200 if you are installing an add-on.
• Select Enable User Logins to allow users to have access to Sage 200 again.

By default, this is enabled.

• To disable the online survey message for all users, select Disable In Product Survey.
• To enable the online survey message for all users (unless they have disabled the survey in their user properties), select Enable In Product Survey.

Certain tasks in Sage 200, such as creating, updating and deleting databases, may take some time. If background tasks are detected, for example, somebody else is attempting to create a database, or the creation that you attempted the day before has failed, you will see a link:

• Clean up background tasks.

Before you click this link, check that nobody else is updating the system in some way. Clicking the link will clean up tasks that have failed because the system has gone down at some point but it will also interfere with long running process tasks another user is trying to perform currently in Sage 200.

By default, logon is automatic.

• To force users to re-enter their windows credentials to access System Administration and Sage 200, click Enable Enforce Login.
• To make logon automatic click Disable Enforce Login.
